Best Food Forward – Pomegranate Power

I often lend a deaf ear when I hear about super food. Pomegranates; however, not only take the cake, they are better than cake!

There have been study after study touting the health benefits of elements found in pomegranates which have shown positive effects on blood pressure, high triglycerides and HDL’s. In a study where subjects drank a mere 10 ounces of it’s juice a week for a year showed marked improvements on all three vital indicators.

These ruby red jewels of Mother Nature are tasty morsels to nosh on as a treat, they make you salivate for your salad and can be added to sautéed meats as a perfect flavour enhancer accompaniment.

What’s more they tantalize the taste buds which makes any food real super!
